New buy Altria

Bought shares in Altria. Their dividend yield is really appealing and they also have a really nice dividend growth rate. I don't have any issues in investing in a tobacco company even though smoking etc is bad for your health. I think it's a decision for everyone themselves what they want to do, although I don't like the smell of smoke. I don't really have any concerns in investing in companies that are considered non ESG, in fact I believe that sooner or later these companies will have an upswing waiting after all the ESG hype is over.

This is in part a buy to bump up my dividend yield, also the payout dates are in the months that are the ones I have lowest payouts in so that will be a nice increase for those months.

Dividend Income December 2021

Time to sum up the year. It's been a record breaking one for me. My portfolio is at an all time high and I received the most dividends in a year ever. I had a return of 33.27%, which in my opinion is really high, I do not expect to see such big returns in the coming years. Actually I think there might be a correction coming to the markets next year, we'll see. I've broken a lot of monthly records this year, December was no different. I did not manage to crack the highest dividend payout for a single month, hope I can do it next year.

My goal for 2021 was to receive SEK 50,000.00 in dividends paid out, a goal I surpassed quite nicely.

My goal for 2022 is to receive SEK 65,000 in dividends. I'm a bit conservative with my dividend goal for next year, I was thinking of going all the way to 75k but there was around 5k dividends paid out 2021 that I do not expect to receive next year. Those extra dividends in Epiroc, Electrolux and Avanza will not come again next year I think. Also Angler Gaming, which was my worst buy in 2021, will likely not pay out as much next year. Using a dividend growth rate of 6% and adding that I will likely buy twelve new companies that roughly generate 12k in dividends next year I end up with 65k as my goal. I know I've been on about investing in more high yield dividend stocks for a while and I really need to start invest in some more.

I received a total of SEK 2,983.63 in dividends in December. An increase of 3.85% compared to last year.

For the full year I received 142 dividends totalling SEK 55,485.67 an increase of 82% compared to 2020.
