Reinvesting Danske Bank dividend (2)

Danske Bank has started to pay out their dividend each quarter from now on which is nice. They increased their dividend significantly from last year as covid restrictions on banks paying out dividends has been lifted.

I did some misscalculations when reinvesting the dividend, I forgot the FX rate... So instead of 2 I bought 3 shares, but that means more dividends in the future. :)

Stocks owned: 152
Dividend per stock: DKK 2.00
Dividend received: SEK 309.36
Reinvested number of stocks: 3 (DKK 113.55 x 3 = SEK 474.76).

Stocks owned after reinvesting: 155

Effect on yearly dividend: +SEK 23.50

New buy SBB

Bought SBB B stocks in the large drop on Monday. Felt like it was a good time to buy. SBB has been going down a lot this year, mostly due to inflation and rising rate fears I believe. Also the report that was released from a fund with short interest in the stock had a negative impact on the price. I was looking at SBB last year already and since then it has gone up almost 100% (it was a lot higher at the end of last year).

I like the fact that the company has stated that it will payout a monthly dividend and that they want to become a dividend champion, growing their dividend over the next 100 years. Their dividend increase this year was really nice and if they continue this way they will be a strong dividend grower.

The fact that I also see a building site on my way to work where SBB is constructing new appartments is a good sign. A bit of Peter Lynch investing.

A lot of people are expressing concerns that once rates rise SBB and other real estate companies will have problems as they have a lot of debt. I do agree that that will have an impact on their earnings, but I also think that they will be able to counter that by raising their rent in their buildings. So I don't believe that rate hikes will be a problem for them.

Number of shares bought: 1,300
Price: SEK 38.99

Effect on yearly dividend: +SEK 1,716.00

Dividend income February 2022

It has been a really turbelent market in February. The war in Ukraine and the inflation rate hike worries have really brought down the market. Lucky for me I have a large exposure in USD so since USDSEK has rallied hard I have had somewhat of a hedge in that. My SEK positions however have been hit hard, especially Avanza in the lately.

On the dividend side it's looking a lot brighter. I will probably beat my goal for the year by some margin. Quite a few companies have increased their dividends this year only a few have kept them stale and I think one or two have cut their dividend. All in all February was another record for me in dividends received this month. Kinder Morgan is a large part a contributing factor to this.

I received a total of SEK 1,518.03 in dividends in February. An increase of 124%!

AT&T - SEK 413.68
P&G - SEK 205.58
Realty Income - SEK 205.58
Kinder Morgan - SEK 550.97
Starbucks - SEK 216.59
