Dividend income July 2023

More record breaking this month. Managed to break the record thanks to the surprise dividend from Dankse Bank. There have been several dividend surprises on the upside this year and I'm a bit worried that next year will not be as good. I think some months will be hard to beat.

Market wise there I feel like not much has happened but a slow steady grind upwards. I don't really recall any big events in the market. Some reports have been to the upside and some to the downside, as usual. Now in the beginning och August we have seen some signs of a slow down, the NFP report was lower than estimates which could give the FED a pause in their hikes the next month.

I received a total of SEK 3,981.91 in dividends in July. An increase of 47.1% compared to last year.

Reinvesting Danske Bank dividend (3)

In combination with their second quarter report Danske Bank surprisingly declared a dividend of 7 DKK. Maybe it was not that surprising when you consider how much money they are making and now that the money laundering scandal is almost behind them. There were talks of quarterly dividends this spring but then the banking crisis hit in the US and they cancelled their dividend. I hope they will now start to pay out quarterly dividends going forward.

I think this will be the last time I post a reinvesting post for now. I feel like there are just to many such posts to write and it clogs the blog. Going forward I will either include it in my monthly post or make a separate monthly post with reinvestments, detailing reinvested number of stocks, dividend received and the effect on yearly dividend.
