Finally! I've been alluding to having a company on my watchlist for some time now. I was waiting for the price to hit 50 SEK so I could finally buy. In the stress to finally being able to buy Opter I managed to buy it in the wrong account. But I sold it and bought it back in the correct account with a minor loss (700 SEK). Maybe it's a bit of an OCD but I want to keep the Swedish and rest of world stocks separate.
Opter is a company that makes software to optimize routes for transport companies. It has been growing nicely and is also earning money and paid out a dividend last year. It's a small company so I hope it will continue to grow and be a good dividend grower in the future. Some risks I see is that with a recession looming transports for goods, specially shopping packages, will go down. This might than lower the companies willing to buy Opters services. On the other hand, optimizing routes could potentially save transportation companies money, less fuel needed and less time on the road, being able to make more deliveries in a day.
Another issue is that larger companies like DHL most likely have route optimization software themselves so I don't think we'll see any big orders. But this could also make Opter a buyout candidate if a larger company wants to buy their software.

Volkswagen paid out a big extra dividend in January due to the listing of Porsche in 2022. I was able to buy two new stocks. This will skew January dividends by a lot, and it will probably take a few years before I will receive the same amount of dividends in January again.

It will be interesting to see if or how much SBB increases their dividend this year. Also the spinoff Neobo, if that will pay any dividends. We will see in April I think.
Should I double down on SBB or not?

I was hoping that Castellum was going to be a long time dividend grower when I bought it but alas it didn't last very long until they cut the dividend completly. Hopefully they will get their finances in order over the next year and they can resume their dividends in 2024.
One might argue why I reinvest the dividend when they have cut it, but sooner or later they will start to pay out again I believe. Good things come to those who wait. I hope.

Another year has passed and this one wasn't so good for my portfolio. I think also this time is the first time that my overall wealth has actually declined in a year. That might be seen as a positive thing as my portfolio has now gotten so big that my salary doesn't have the same impact as it used to.
Luckily for me the year wasn't as bad as some of the indexes had. My portfolio was down -10.5% which is a lot better than for example OMX was. I think the biggest contributing factor to this was my USD positions acted as a hedge.
Dividend wise it was a record year however. I broke a lot of different records: single biggest dividend received, highest payout in a month, most number of dividends received in a month. I broke the dividend monthly record in eleven of the twelve months, only November I wasn't able to beat from last year. And I finally managed to beat the monthly record from 2019, twice.
I had a goal of reaching 65k dividend received this year and I beat that by a mile. I'm not sure what made get so far above my goal. Partly I think it's the strong USD. Also I bought quite a lot of big positions in high yielding stocks, my goal was to get 12k from new buys but seeing as for example Veteranpoolen alone stood for 3k that is a large part of the equation.
For next year I am a bit worried about dividend cuts from companies. We have already seen it in Sweden in a few real estate companies, for example Castellum. That alone is quite a big hit to my dividends. In my compilation of future dividends for 2023 I get to about 87k, and that is without 6% dividend growth I am usually counting with. With new buys I think I will make it to above 100k in dividends earned in 2023, but with a recession looming around the corner I'm not 100% confident. Even though I've seen cuts I have also seen some nice suprises already for January, for example VW is paying out 19 EUR per share which will be around 4k for me before taxes.
I haven't bought any new company for the last three months, I have been following one company for but it won't go to the levels I want to buy it at, so I might just pull the trigger anyway soon. I'd hope for the USD to come down below 10 as well but it's actually gone the other way this week so I'm not sure for how long I can stay away from US companies. I might start bulking up on some of my existing Swedish stock instead if that is the case.
I received a total of SEK 5,372.59 in dividends in December. An increase of 80% compared to last year!
For the full year I received 177 dividends totalling SEK 83,723.58 an increase of 50.9% compared to 2021.
