Reinvesting Sintercast dividend (5)

The dividend season is coming to an end for this year, although many companies now pay dividends twice a year. There aren't that many dividends left to reinvest this part of the year so I will have to wait for fall again.

Reinvesting Volkswagen dividend (1)

First time being able to reinvest Volkswagen dividend. After all taxes it was just above 0.75 compared to the stock price so I just bought it. Volkswagen has come a long way since I invested shortly after the dieselgate. The dividend payout I've received has gone from SEK 23.51 in 2016 to SEK 1,161.29 this year. That's almost a 50x increase. Their dividend was stale for a couple of years but I think now that they can keep this higher dividend going forward hopefully. It looks like even though they sell less cars their margins have gone up quite a bit, most likely on their electric vehicles. Long term I think they will still be the biggest or second biggest car company in terms of car production. I do not think Tesla will be able to compete when all other manufacturers start producing ev's.

The only downside to VW is the tax on the dividend is so high.

Reinvesting Stille dividend (2)

Reinvesting dividend in Stille. I was a bit late to reinvest so lost a 10 SEK on the price. Maybe for some companies it's not worth reinvesting the dividend, just to earn back the price and commission will take over five years in this case. Over a long time period it should be worth it in my opinion.

Reinvesting JLT dividend (1)

First time reinvesting dividend from JLT. Since the stock price is so low I am able to reinvesting in a lot of stocks compared to other companies, which is nice. It's a bit odd to to have the 0.75 rule for companies like JLT though as buying one more stock is only about 8 SEK.

First time reinvesting dividend in TF Bank. I was worried I might not be able to reinvest my dividend with my 0.75 rule but with this years draw down I was actually able to cover it almost one to one. I hope TF Bank in the future becomes a nice dividend grower.

New buy Yara International

A lot of fertilizer around the world is produced in Russia and due to the war in Ukraine no one really wants to buy it from Russian companies anymore. Although I'm a bit late to the party, a lot of western fertilizer companies went up when the invasion began, I still think that western fertilizer companies will see an uptick in their revenues as people no longer want to do business with Russia and source their products from somewhere else.
When searching for listed fertilizer companies I really only found Canadian Nutrien and Norwegian Yara. If you check the price for Nutrien you can see the impact of the invasion really clearly however Yara didn't, it moved down instead. The price going down in Yara could be that they used to buy their chemical product from Russia before the invasion, I haven't looked into that. However even if they did I do believe that the company can source a lot of the natural gas from Norway instead.

I've also wanted to buy a Norwegian company for a while and Orkla has been on my watch list for a long time. And Yara fits really nicely into a dividend portfolio with the yield of over 6% that they have. One drawback with Norwegian companies is that I think I will pay 27% tax on the dividend, though I will get that back in two years with tax returns. But I maybe should have waited for the stock to go ex-date before buying as that would have given me that money back at this point in time, but I wanted to boost my dividends this year.

Reinvesting BASF dividend (3)

Able to buy two BASF stocks again. Maybe nothing to be happy about as most of it is due to the price going down. (I'm thinking about dropping the reinvested number of stock calculation, it doesn't really add anything and it takes time to look up all the values).

It's nice to see spun-off companies start to pay out dividends. And this is the first time for Electrolux Professional. Altough the payout doesn't really reach the 0.75 rule I still wanted to buy a stock.

Reinvesting SBB dividend (3)

Already reinvesting the third dividend in SBB, goes fast with monthly dividends. SBB has really gone down since I bought it. I was calculating with being able to buy 3 new stocks each dividend but this time I was able to buy 5. I'm also thinking about increasing my holdings overall to increase my monthly dividends even more. At the current price SBB is yielding almost 5%. Increasing rates might however keep SBB from paying out this much, time will tell.
